Research interests/biography

Heidi Rader directs the AV����̳ Tribes Extension Program, which promotes food sovereignty and security throughout AV����̳. She teaches virtual and hands-on workshops on health, wellness, food and gardening. She partners with Tribes and traditional knowledge holders to offer tribally driven outreach. She has filmed more than 75 videos for the “” series and writes the blog, “.” She created the massive online open course, “Grow Your Own Food,” on EdX. She served as a governing board member of the AV����̳ Food Policy Council from 2020-2025. She works with the Extension Foundation to promote Agriprospects: Workforce Development Network in the Western and 1994 regions.
