Participation in the UAF Study Away program more than doubled this past year, from 30 students in 2024 to 71 students in 2025. The Study Away program offers UAF students the opportunity to enhance their education with a semester or two at another international or U.S. university, while earning credit toward their UAF degree.
UAF’s exchange partner universities, which many Study Away students attend, have also continued to send exchange students to UAF, adding to the international character of the campus. In 2025, the first-ever AVÀÇÂÛ̳Mester program also brought a cohort of domestic exchange students from across the U.S. to UAF.
