Lisa Slaba is the Executive Assistant and Advisor to the Chancellor. In this role,
Slaba reports directly to the Chancellor and provides in-depth assistance on the administration
and operations of UAF.
Prior to this role, Lisa was the Senior Project Manager at the Fairbanks Economic
Development Corporation working on Military Affairs. She has held various roles in
human resources, logistics & transportation, healthcare, risk management, and corrections.
She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management from Wayland Baptist University,
is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is currently pursuing a
Master’s in Public Policy from American Public University.
Lisa, her husband Randy, and two young children have been in the Fairbanks area since
October 2021 because of her husband’s Air Force career. She is a proud military spouse,
always looking for the positive in where the Air Force sends them. You can find her
out and about enjoying time with her family, the midnight sun, riding her Harley,
camping, volunteering, (trying) to crochet, or watching her favorite shows.
