Formatting Workshop Slides

These slides were used for the Fall 2025 formatting workshops.  The slides below walks you through the process of formatting a thesis, dissertation, or project, as well as submitting your work and graduating. We hold these workshops each semester, so if you are  interested in attending a session, please click the "Workshops" above to RSVP. Note that the RSVP form for each semester will not be provided until that semester begins.

How to Submit Theses, Dissertations, & Projects

 

  1. Once your thesis, dissertation, or project is ready for approval from your committee, department head and dean (theses & dissertations only), you will submit an:
  2. Once your approval form is signed by all required parties, except for the Graduate School you will submit your document to the following:
  3.  Once you have submitted your document to either Jotform or Proquest:
      • Graduate school staff will begin to review the submissions and provide formatting revisions until your document meets university formatting requirements.
      • It is normal to go through several round of revisions.
      • Keep in mind that we get many documents all at once, and we provide revisions in order of submission date. Feel free to email or call us to check on the status if it has been awhile since your submission and you haven't any revisions. 
      • When your document meets all formatting requirements, we will alert you that it has been accepted!
