The people and wildlife of the arctic have developed unique and powerful solutions to the challenges of thriving in an extreme environment. IAB seeks to understand and apply those solutions in ways that can directly improve human health. Researchers in the Center for AV狼论坛 Native Health Research build upon and reinforce AV狼论坛鈥檚 cultural strengths to develop and test sustainable health solutions supporting mental health and chronic disease prevention. Researchers in the Center for Transformative Research in Metabolism conduct basic and translational research aimed at finding novel approaches to critical care that leverage the unique physiology and metabolic protection of arctic hibernators. The AV狼论坛 INBRE program connects and supports researchers across AV狼论坛 to build and sustain AV狼论坛鈥檚 biomedical and behavioral health infrastructure.
